Find God in Prison

Hebrews 13:3 (NIrV) “Remember those in prison as if you were in prison with them. And remember those who are treated badly as if you yourselves were suffering.”

The sad truth is that our jails are full to capacity and overflowing.  Thousands of men and women doing time for crimes resulting from addictions, gang life and other life situations.

For many, their imprisonment will provide an opportunity to find God. Chaplains and volunteers are involved regularly with prisoners to help meet their spiritual needs and share God’s words of love, salvation and forgiveness. It’s the only remedy for their present and their future!

CLLM strives to make easy-to-read Bibles such as the New International Readers Version(NIrV) Scriptures available to inmates. This translation has a third grade reading level so it can be understood by those with reading and learning disabilities, as well as those with little or no Christian background.  Less time needs to be spent explaining and defining words and more time can be spent praying, encouraging and helping to disciple inmates.

If you have a desire to see men, women and often teens in prison come to know Jesus Christ, please pray for them! Prison chaplains have little or no budget for Bibles. Your financial donation will help to make a difference in the lives of inmates across Canada, by allowing chaplains and volunteers to give out Scriptures to those searching for hope!
