Know Christ

Why Trust Jesus?

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served. Instead, he came to serve others.  He came to give his life as a price for setting many people free.  –Mark 10:45 NIrV

You’ve probably already figured it out for yourself, but the world is a pretty messed up place filled with messed up, broken people. Many things like cars, computers and broken bones can’t fix themselves and neither can we!

We are all broken and in need of healing and saving and Jesus is our salvation.  He can set us free, if we are willing to give him our lives, because he gave His life for each and every one of us.

You are surrounded by stuff and noise, clamoring for your attention, claiming to be the truth, the answer and the reason for this life. So, why trust in Jesus? He didn’t win any awards, set up a huge corporation or even become wealthy while He was on earth – yet over 2,000 years later, millions of people build their lives on His teaching and look to Him for their eternal salvation and their daily strength and direction.

What makes Jesus different from any other “prophet” out there?  He was unique for one reason:  He wasn’t only a man or a mere prophet, but also God!  It’s pretty hard to wrap your mind around that, but Jesus Christ was God in human flesh – fully man, and yet also fully God. The Bible says, “Christ is the exact likeness of God, who can’t be seen…. God was pleased to have his whole nature living in Christ.”   –Colossians 1:15,19 NIrV

We have found Jesus Christ to be the one and only Truth and we have real life through our personal relationship with him and in community with other Jesus followers.  Go ahead – click on the “testimonies” button and read for yourself of how Jesus has changed lives.

How to Trust Jesus.

Will you take that step to start following him?

It’s not complicated, scary or weird. Just pray this simple prayer:

“God, I know I have sinned against you and deserve punishment. But I believe Jesus took the punishment I deserve so that through faith in Him, I could be forgiven. I accept your offer of forgiveness and freedom and place my trust in You for salvation. I accept Jesus as my personal savior! Thank you for paying the price to set me free. Amen”

Please remember – saying this prayer, or any other prayer will not save you – only believing in Jesus and His finished work on the cross for you can save you from your sin.
